He tests the repaired component in his own A2 prior to shipping the unit back to the customer.Īs it is likely that the person/persons responsible for this situation were introduced to Lau through this forum, the A2OC admin team will do its level best to address and resolve this matter in order for this service to continue being available. Lau is a highly valued and respected A2 enthusiast, he is an electronics engineer by profession and ( to our knowledge) is the only person worldwide who can repair the faults which arise with the CCCU. The latter aspect of this is most disappointing, as if accurate, this is tantamount to theft from a fellow A2 enthusiast. Members are alleged to have not been communicating or responding to messages from Lau claims have allegedly been made that the repaired unit isn't fixed correctly, and the 'loan' CCCU given on exchange while the members component is repaired has not been returned to Lau. The repair service from Lau costs less than £100 including a loan CCCU whilst yours is repaired, as opposed to a new part from Audi being upward of £700. This is extremely unfortunate and disappointing given that the CCCU is prone to faults and causes irritating gremlins in the A2's electrics. It would appear that due to the actions of member/s on this forum that the Central Convenience Control Unit (CCCU) repair service offered by A2freunde member 'Lau' may no longer be available to our community. Had to replace front passenger air strut assembly. An unfortunate A2OC announcement. Purchased and installed rebuilt air compressor for the air strut system.
